Learning about money

Today we learned about money!  Lori showed us a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, dollar bill, a five dollar, and a twenty dollar bill.  We sang a song called- In my piggy bank, which taught us about how many cents each of the coins are worth.  After that, we got 5 pennies to spend on items which ranged from 1-3 cents.  Our purchases are in our cubbies to take home.
