Big Cheese Kai

This week Kai had the honor of being our Big Cheese!  His week started with Mom and dad coming with him to show his big Kai poster and his pictures.  He even had a DVD featuring "Kai"!  Mom and dad came to read on another day and he brought cupcakes to share and also to have lunch with him.  During the week Kai was excited to bring some cool giant dinosaurs to show us and let us play with!

Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Today we had Ruby and Emerson's mom, the tooth fairy and friends from Boger Dental to come to teach us about dental health and taking care of our teeth.  They taught us about the good foods to eat and the foods that aren't so good for you like sugar pop.  We got to count that there was 13 teaspoons of sugar in one bottle of soda.  We learned the importance of having our mom or dad help us brush two times a day and how to floss.  We each got gifts from them including a toothbrush, floss and a magnet!  Thanks to Ruby's mom, the tooth fairy, and Bogar Dental!

Red Room Luau

It was Luau Day today!  Many of the children wore Hawaiian or beach attire including grass skirts, bathing suits, sunglasses, and flip flops.!  We put on some beach boys music and danced.  We also made a tropical fruit salad with fruit donated from our families (thank you!). It tasted so yummy and refreshing!  After lunch we cut open two coconuts donated by Chasen and Dillon and got a chance to sample the coconut milk and the flesh of the coconut.  Ask your child what he/she thought of it!
