Aidan's Mom comes to read

Today Aidan's mom came to read to us.  She works for Wells Fargo and they have teamed up with Scholastic books to sponsor a volunteer reading program.  Megan came to read to us and donated some really great books to our program.  Thanks Megan!

Cooperative City

Today we continued to talk about our community and about all of the buildings around us.  We also read the book Carla the Carpenter and talked about all the different things we can make out of wood.  The senior wood shop was nice enough to donate wood scraps for us to create this cooperative city together!  Here is our finished product!

Election Day 2012

We decided to hold our own mock election today.  The children got to chose either candidate- Romney or Obama and put the photo of the candidate in our ballot box.  We then tallied up the votes and Obama has the lead of our favorite candidate at Lenox Preschool.  We will find out who is right tonight!  We each got I voted stickers too!  See who your child voted for on our door!

Shaving cream play

We used shaving cream today to practice printing our letters and shapes!  Good clean fun!

Halloween 2012

Our Halloween party was a big success!  We first had a fashion show to show off our great costumes.  Then we had a parade around our building so everyone could enjoy seeing us!  We came back to the room and each participated in the three stations: playing games, decorating our treat bags, or snack of witches brew, apple juice, and ghosts-which we made using nutter butter cookies, marshmallow frosting, and mini chips for eyes.  After lunch Emma in the office did a witch's brew overhead projector story with us in the little theater, which was so cool.  Thanks to all for bringing supplies/treats and to our parent volunteers October's mom and dad, Graham's mom, and Aidan's mom- and thanks to Aidan's mom for being our photographer too!
